Rooted in nature, guided by soul
Through plant medicine, Gita Botanicals offers a song for healing, and a song for passing to support wholeness of the mind-body-spirit on the journey of living, and for transition at the end of life.
Mission
I offer Herbal MEdicine support and end-of-life Care, rooted in the rhythms of nature
I draw upon ancient knowledge from western herbalism, eastern traditions such as Ayurveda, and modern evidence-based science to match you with the right plant medicine to tap into your body’s innate, natural ability to heal. I work with a (w)holistic, whole-body-whole-person approach interconnected with mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to support you wherever you happen to be on your health and wellness journey. In addition, I offer heart-centered guidance as a death doula, to provide practical support for you or your family, ensuring dignity and peace throughout your (or your family members) end-of-life journey. By honouring this sacred transition with presence, respect, and personalized care, I hope to help transform the fear of death into acceptance, and isolation into meaningful connection. Whether seeking relief, balance, or preventive care, you will find thoughtful, effective solutions custom-tailored to harmonize with your body’s natural song, to guide you back to your vibrant Self.
“If we surrendered to Earth’s intelligence we could rise up rooted, like trees. ”

I offer services as a medical herbalist, and a death doula. I work in the sciences and healing arts. I’m passionate about plants, the ocean, marine life, and tiny-shelled-things. I advocate for inner and outer health aligned with nature and healthy natural ecosystems. I advocate for slow living, slow food and medicine. In my free time, you’ll find me out wandering along the seashore or walking through the forest (identifying sea life and plants).
My values are: purpose with playfulness, creativity, authenticity, and integrity.
Learn more about me, my path to herbal medicine and end—of-life care, and the approach I’ll take in working with you. I hope that we will be a good match for working together.

Land Acknowledgement
Gita Botanicals respectfully acknowledge and thank the Snuneymuxw, Snaw-Naw-As, Quw’utsun and Tla’Amin, Qualicum, and K’omoks Coast Salish Peoples on whose traditional lands we practice, teach, learn, research, live, and share knowledge, huy ch q’u.
As a settler on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish People, I am grateful for being part of the ecologically, culturally-rich and diverse ecosystems of Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. These lands and waters are a meeting place for many people, including its custodians, other indigenous tribes, and immigrant settlers like myself. I acknowledge the injustices created by the complex history of settler colonialism, which has led to disparity, inequity, and systemic violence. These conditions continue to create illness in our society today. I strive to stay aware of the ongoing effects of colonialism, and my participation in it. Awareness begins the path towards healing, both of our physical-emotional-spiritual selves and the intergenerational and ancestral wounds that we each carry. Only then, can we return to collective wellbeing and wholeness. Lastly, I have gratitude for the Indigenous carriers of plant medicine traditions worldwide, and the unseen plant-being teachers. Despite unimaginable adversities, and the damage we’ve caused to the Earth, they still offer sacred teachings on the right relationship with nature, our Earth and its medicines.
